Celebrating Community: Art, Murals, and Record-Breaking Support

Amber Myre, CEO of Living Opportunities

CEO Amber Myre

Dear Friends,

What a season it’s been. As I look back on these past few months, despite looming funding challenges to come, I am filled with gratitude and awe.

This October, we celebrated the 14th annual furnARTure, our signature auction benefiting The Studio at Living Opportunities. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, artists, and attendees, this year’s event was a record-breaking success.

A generous major donor issued a $40,000 match challenge, and our community rose to meet it. Together, you helped us surpass all previous years, not just in dollars raised, but in joy, inspiration, and connection.

furnARTure is more than an art auction. It’s a celebration of creativity, community, and the voices of people with disabilities. Whether you raised your paddle, shared a kind word with an artist, were one of over 100 community partners that donated items, or helped behind the scenes, your presence made a big difference. Thank you for believing in our mission and in the power of art to change lives.

We also marked the completion of another artistic achievement: the collaborative mural on the exterior of our new headquarters building. Created in partnership with Life Art and Bridging Communities, the mural was co-designed and painted by Alyssa Summers and our own Will Miller, a featured Studio artist. With support from a City of Medford Art Partnership Grant and an unforgettable community painting day, this vibrant public artwork now greets everyone who drives by or visits our building with a message of joy and belonging. It is a daily reminder of what’s possible when the community creates something together.

To everyone who helped bring these projects to life, thank you. Your support fuels our purpose and our future.

With gratitude,

Amber Myre
