Volunteer

Volunteers are vital to Living Opportunities, providing much needed extra support for our activities. There are many ways to volunteer with us, from assisting with general office work, to volunteering in The Studio at Living Opportunities, to being a recreational support volunteer. Volunteers provide support so that people with developmental disabilities can participate in community leisure and social events of their own choosing.

Recreational Support Volunteer:

• To provide individualized support for person(s) with developmental disabilities so the individual is able to participate in recreational activities
• To participate in the scheduled activities (i.e. bowling, basketball)
• To provide transportation for the person if necessary
• To provide support with skills necessary to participate in the recreation activity (i.e. paying for the activity, dressing for swimming)

Studio Volunteer:

• Assist artists as they create their masterpieces
• Work special events: Third Friday Soirees (Medford), First Friday Artwalks (Ashland), host art show openings, assist in information booths.
